The swift transformations in the Chinese economy, society and politics are major topics discussed in our media, academia and by policymakers. New analytic frameworks can help us exploring the contrasting narratives on contemporary China, seizing the opportunities unfolding in front of us. Rethink the Chinese way of development with our challenging lessons, engage yourself in the scenery of a 19th century neoclassical building by debating with Kerry Brown, Markus Taube, Yu Jie and other outstanding scholars.

Founded in the 2nd century BC as a Roman Colony, Reggio Emilia preserves much of its ancient beauty in its city center, characterized by attractive squares and old churches.
Reggio Emilia is renowned for its food and wine, but it's more than just this: it’s innovation, thanks to its mechanics excellencies, mechatronics and cooperative sectors; sustainable growth, thanks to its cyclist-friendly roads and the modern high-speed railway; inclusive and intercultural society, thanks to its international relations and the world-wide renowned Reggio Emilia Approach for education of early childhood.
Reggio Emilia is an ideal location for students and scholars. Enjoy it, you’ll be surprised!
Whilst no support will be provided by CSCC for accomodation arrangements and related costs, CSCC has special agreements with the following facilities located a few hundred meters from our summer school venue. Discounted room prices will be guaranteed to participants.
Student's Hostel Della Ghiara, via Guasco 6, Reggio Emilia
